Bad-Boy Barbeque Sauce (beware, things might get messy!)

A few years ago I was watching Jamie At Home, saw this delicious barbeque sauce recipe and knew I had to give it a go.  OK, so it’s taken me two years to make it, but damn I’m glad I did! The perfect day came up to test it out, 4th of July, and why shouldn’t an Australian (who has never experienced 4th of July) host a 4th of July barbeque bash?

I’ve attached the link to the recipe, because let’s face it, I’m lazy, and there’s no need to rewrite it as I followed it almost exactly. The only thing I did differently was to add some fresh diced chilli, oh and I also marinated the meats for a few hours before cooking.  Definitely do not forget to reduce the left over sauces in the cooking pans as this is the deal sealer when eating..

The day was a raging success, and all thanks to this finger-licking bad boy barbeque sauce.

Aside: butterfly a whole chicken yourself, it’s cheaper than buying it in pieces and much more fun (just google search butterflying a chicken to find out how)

grinding the spices after a quick session in the pan to wake them up

the lazy option, processing the herbs (using a knife is much more fun)

the sauce (all it needs is a little mix) YUM!

the cooked meats (rib rack and butterflied chicken)

the chicken, hot off the grill
