Cipiglio, Florence

Cipiglio was recommended to us by the owner of our hostel (Dany House, definitely recommend it if you’re ever in Florence) and although I was a bit wary of going there, we were so happy with our experience that we ended up going twice! Their burrata pizza was simple and delicious; one of the best pizzas we had in Italy. It was a typical Italian pizza simple and delicious, with only one topping, burrata. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed our pastas as well; my pici al cipiglio was fresh and simple  and Priya’s mushroom tagliatelle, while quite intense, was also delicious. She got tagliatelle several more times throughout the trip, but none of them seemed to compare to this one. The desserts were good but standard as they tend to be in Italy, I recommend filling up on savory and if you still have room indulge. Overall it was a great experience; both times we were the only English speakers in the restaurant. Cipiglio is what classic Italian food should be; simple, fresh and delicious.
